Double Layer Lazy Ice Maker Storage Box

The Double Layer Lazy Ice Maker Storage Box is a two-part ice tool from Pebble Tech. The top layer is a soft silicone tray that forms 24 cubes, and the bottom layer is a storage box that holds the ice once it is out. One container does both jobs, so you are not moving cubes from a tray into a separate bag.

Fill the tray, freeze it, then press down on the lid to pop the whole batch loose at once, with no twisting or banging on the counter. The cubes drop into the box below, and the snap-on lid keeps them from sticking together or picking up freezer odors. A scoop is included for serving, the silicone is food grade and BPA free, and the tray is dishwasher safe.

It is not just for water. You can freeze juice, coffee, wine, cocktails, pureed fruit, ice cream mix or baby food in the same tray. It comes in blue, pink and yellow. Note that despite the name, this is a fill-and-freeze tray rather than an electric machine, so your freezer does the work. The ice-forming layer is silicone while the cover, press board and outer box are hard plastic.
