Shipping & Fulfillment

Free shipping, no minimum, tracked the whole way. Here's how orders actually move from a brand's shelf to your door, and what to expect along the way.

1. How shipping works here

MaviGadget is a marketplace. Independent brands list their own products here and ship them to you directly from their own facilities.

Our brands are based all over: the US, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Türkiye and beyond. Some hold stock in a warehouse near you. Others send it from where it was made. That's why delivery times aren't one number across the site, they're specific to the item you're buying.

If your order has items from more than one brand, they arrive separately. Each one gets its own tracking and its own timeline.

2. Getting your order out the door

Once you order, the brand checks stock, runs its quality check, and packs your item. Most standard items leave within 48 hours. The dispatch window for anything you're looking at is on its product page.

Customized and made-to-order items are built first. Section 5 covers those.

One thing worth knowing: shipped and on its way aren't quite the same. Shipped means the item has left the brand and entered the carrier's network. Handling, sorting and scheduling all happen after that, and they're already accounted for in your delivery estimate.

3. How long it takes

Check the product page. Every item shows its own dispatch window and expected arrival, and that estimate is the one that applies to your order.

It varies because our brands do. We work with brands in the US, Germany, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Türkiye and elsewhere, and many of them hold stock in regional warehouses too.

Shipping locally. If the brand ships from within your country or region, your order travels domestically. No customs, no international handoffs, and delivery is quick.

Shipping internationally. If the item comes from the brand's home country, it crosses borders, which means customs and usually more than one carrier along the way. That takes longer and is less predictable.

Big furniture and made-to-order pieces take longer again either way, and those have their own sections below.

What an estimate actually means

Every delivery time on this site is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date. We don't offer guaranteed date delivery on any product.

The figure on a product page is a general guide for that item under normal conditions. It assumes the brand's usual dispatch, a clear run through the carrier network, no customs hold, and a complete delivery address.

For made-to-order and custom items, the product page figure is a category guide. Once your order is placed and the brand confirms the build, we send you a specific production and shipping estimate for your actual order. That later estimate is the one that applies to you, and it's the figure to work from rather than the product page number. It's still an estimate, but it's built around your order rather than the category.

Things that move an estimate, none of which are within our control or the brand's:

  • Customs selection and inspection, which is decided by government authorities
  • Vessel, flight and freight scheduling, including port delays
  • Carrier capacity, weather and local disruption
  • Incomplete or undeliverable addresses

If your order runs late

We'd rather over-communicate than leave you guessing, so if something slips we'll tell you and explain what's happening.

A delay against an estimate doesn't on its own entitle you to a partial refund or compensation, because these are estimates rather than guaranteed dates. What it does entitle you to:

  • Before production or dispatch: cancel for a full refund, no questions
  • For made-to-order items: when we send your specific timeline after ordering, you have 24 hours to cancel free of charge if it doesn't work for you
  • After 60 days from dispatch: our Delivery Guarantee in Section 12 gives you the choice of a full refund or a free reshipment
  • Any time: an honest answer about where your order is and what's happening to it

Where an order runs beyond the timeline provided, compensation may be considered but is not guaranteed and is not automatic. Any goodwill gesture is offered at our discretion, based on the circumstances of the individual order, and is assessed once the item has been delivered rather than while it is still in transit.

If your order isn't going to arrive within a timeframe that works for you, tell us before it ships and we'll arrange a cancellation and refund.

When a shipment stalls

Occasionally an order goes quiet for a long stretch.

Brands listing with us are required to report shipment status back to us, and on higher value orders they report daily. That's how we find out something has stalled, usually before the customer does.

If a shipment has had no tracking movement for four weeks, or has run four weeks past the estimate we gave you, we take the brand's report, review the order, and come back to you with where it stands rather than waiting for you to chase us.

At that point we look at the whole picture: where the shipment actually is, whether it's realistically going to arrive, and what makes sense for you. Depending on the situation we may offer a cancellation and full refund, a free reshipment, an expedited final leg at our cost, or a goodwill gesture. Which of those applies depends on the circumstances, so we handle these individually rather than by formula.

If your order has hit that point and you haven't heard from us, contact us and we'll pull the latest from the brand and review it.

None of this affects your statutory rights, which are covered in Section 16.

4. Big and heavy things

Furniture, beds, sofas, mobility equipment. Anything too large for a normal parcel network ships as freight, and freight is a different world.

Freight consignments wait for truck and container space rather than leaving the moment they're packed. They pass through more handling points. And at the end, a local delivery team calls you to arrange a time rather than leaving a large item on your doorstep.

Expect roughly 20 to 35 business days from dispatch, depending on where it starts. The estimate for your item is on its product page.

Freight can't be expedited. The extra handling isn't inefficiency, it's what keeps a sofa from arriving looking like it fell off the truck.

5. Made-to-order and customized items

Some things are built for you after you order rather than pulled off a shelf.

When we know upfront. If an item is made to order, its product page says so, along with the production and delivery timeline.

When we find out after. We confirm availability with the brand once your order comes in. Depending on their stock, production capacity, or whether a particular variant is available, an item may turn out to be made to order at that point rather than at checkout.

If that happens, we'll come to you before anything is built, with:

  • Confirmation that it's being made to order
  • The revised timeline
  • Any in-stock alternative the brand can offer instead

Then it's your call. Go ahead, switch to something available, or cancel for a full refund. Nothing starts production until you've decided, and if we don't hear back we hold the order rather than start it.

How long production takes. Three stages:

  1. Production, usually 1 to 7 business days. Simple customizations are quick. A bed that has to be built from scratch sits at the far end of that.
  2. Quality check, usually 3 business days
  3. Shipping, standard or freight per the sections above

We confirm the specific production time with you before it starts. Made-to-order items are often oversized, so freight timelines usually apply.

Cancelling. Free to cancel any time before production begins. Once it starts, we can't cancel or refund it, because it's being built to your spec and can't go to anyone else.

6. Making sense of your tracking

Tracking numbers can change on international orders. When a shipment crosses borders it often hands off between carriers, and each leg gets its own number. When that happens we send you the new one. Always use the most recent. Domestic shipments usually keep one number the whole way.

Your order number isn't a tracking number. Numbers starting with MGS identify your order in our system. Carriers can't find anything with it.

Quiet stretches happen on international orders. During border transit and customs, tracking can sit still for days. It's not a problem. Once the shipment clears and hits the local network, updates get much more frequent and detailed. Domestic orders tend to update steadily throughout.

7. Customs, duties and inspections

This section applies to orders shipping internationally. If your item ships from a brand or warehouse within your own country, none of it applies.

International orders can attract duties, import taxes or local charges. Those are set by the authorities in your country, they're not part of what you paid us, and they're the buyer's responsibility.

Inspections. Customs decides what gets inspected, not us. Some categories get pulled more often than others:

  • Anything with a lithium battery
  • Medical, mobility and health equipment
  • High-value consignments
  • Freight and oversized shipments

Inspections can add days or, occasionally, weeks. These are government decisions, and neither we, the brand, nor the carrier can speed them up. What we can do is watch the shipment and keep you posted, and we will.

Batteries. Items with lithium batteries fall under international air transport rules. Sometimes that means the battery and the main unit travel separately. If that applies to your order, you'll get tracking for both.

8. Your delivery address

We ship to the address you enter at checkout, exactly as you enter it. Worth a second look before you hit buy.

We need a street address. Most shipments go by private carriers, and they can't deliver to PO Boxes. PO Boxes sit inside postal service facilities that private carriers have no access to. An address missing a street name, unit or building number can't be delivered either.

Changing it after dispatch. Once your parcel is with the carrier, we can't change the address for you. Carriers only accept corrections from the person receiving it. We'll give you the carrier's contact details and your waybill number so you can sort it directly.

If delivery fails because of the address. Where we can't deliver because the address given at checkout was wrong or incomplete, the order is treated as an unauthorized cancellation under our Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy. Outbound shipping isn't refundable, and return shipping and restocking fees apply.

9. If delivery doesn't happen

Sometimes a parcel arrives in your area but doesn't make it to you. Here's how each situation works.

Missed delivery attempts. Carriers usually try more than once, then hold the parcel at a local depot or collection point. You'll normally get a card or a notification with instructions. Parcels are held for a limited window that varies by carrier and country.

Uncollected parcels. If a parcel isn't collected within the carrier's holding period, it goes back to the brand. Uncollected parcels are treated as unauthorized cancellations under our Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy. Outbound shipping isn't refundable, and return shipping and restocking fees apply to whatever comes back.

Refused deliveries. If you refuse a delivery for any reason other than visible damage, the same applies. If you're refusing because the packaging arrived damaged, tell the carrier that's the reason at the door, then let us know, and we'll handle it under Section 13 instead.

Freight deliveries. Freight is scheduled, not dropped off. The local delivery team contacts you to arrange a time. If you're not there for a booked slot, or the appointment can't be arranged, the carrier may charge redelivery and storage fees. Those are passed on at cost. Please keep your phone available once your freight shipment reaches your area, since that's how they'll reach you.

Delivered but not received. If tracking shows delivered and nothing arrived, check with anyone who might have taken it in and with your local carrier first. If it's still missing, see Section 13.

10. Orders arriving in pieces

If your order has items from different brands, they'll come separately, each with its own tracking and window. One arriving doesn't mean the rest is late.

11. When things go wrong outside anyone's control

Weather, natural disasters, customs inspections, port congestion, strikes, carrier disruption. We and our brands aren't liable for delays we can't control, but we will chase, track and keep you informed on anything affected.

12. The MaviGadget Delivery Guarantee

Every order is backed by us.

If your item hasn't arrived within 60 days of dispatch and tracking shows no active movement, you choose: full refund or free reshipment.

Where tracking is still showing the shipment progressing through the carrier network, the order is in transit and on its way to you. Freight, international and made-to-order shipments can legitimately run past 60 days, and a shipment that's still moving isn't a lost shipment. In those cases we keep tracking it with you rather than treating it as a claim.

For freight and made-to-order items the clock runs from dispatch rather than from when you ordered, since production happens before anything ships.

Make a claim at https://mavigadget.com/pages/returns with your order number. Anything outside that window we'll still look at individually.

13. Damaged, lost or incomplete

Damaged. Have a look at your order when it arrives. If the outer packaging is visibly damaged, tell the carrier at the door, and refuse it outright if the damage is serious. Send us photos of the product and the packaging within 48 hours of delivery.

Incomplete. Check Section 10 first, the rest may be on its way separately from another brand.

Lost. If tracking says delivered but nothing arrived, check with your carrier and anyone who might have taken it in. Non-delivery claims need a carrier claim number, and we process them once the carrier's investigation is done.

14. What we expect from our brands

Brands listing on MaviGadget have to dispatch within their stated windows, provide real tracking on every shipment, and maintain verified fulfillment practices.

They're also required to report shipment status back to us, and on higher value orders they report daily. That's how we know what's happening with your order without having to ask, and it's how we spot a stalled shipment before you do.

Brands that don't meet those standards get suspended or removed from the marketplace.

15. Shipping protection

Some orders offer optional shipping protection at checkout. Where it's available you'll see it as an add-on before you pay, with the cost and what it covers shown at that point.

Protection typically covers loss, theft after delivery, and damage in transit, and it gives you a faster route to a replacement or refund than a standard carrier claim, which can take weeks to investigate.

It's optional. Without it, loss and damage are still handled under Sections 12 and 13, but resolution depends on the carrier's investigation timeline rather than ours.

16. Where the law sits

This policy is written to work alongside applicable consumer protection law, including the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, and relevant United States law. Where mandatory consumer law applies to your order, it takes precedence over anything here that conflicts with it.

17. Quick answers

How long will my order take? Check the product page. Every item shows its own estimate, because it depends on which brand it comes from and whether they're shipping to you domestically or from abroad.

My tracking hasn't moved in days. Should I worry? If it's an international order, usually not. Tracking goes quiet during border transit and customs, then picks up again once it reaches your local network. Section 6 explains it.

I got a new tracking number. Why? International shipments change carriers along the way and each leg gets its own number. Use the newest one.

Can I pay to get it faster? Sometimes, on standard items, if the brand offers it at checkout. Freight and made-to-order items can't be sped up.

It says shipped but nothing's happening. Shipped means it's left the brand. Carrier handling and scheduling come next, and they're already built into your estimate.
